Feel Good Friday triple header

Today's Feel Good Friday is a triple feature. First, let's start off with Fats Domino singing "Ain't That A Shame":

During that same era, the performer known as Little Willie John was an enormous influence on his peers; he was a pioneer of soul, R & B, and rock-and-roll whose impact on other artists was substantial, yet he is relatively unknown today. Among other things, he was the first performer to record the song "Fever," later made into a huge hit by Peggy Lee.

In 1962, the year before I was born, my mother and my aunt went to the Civic Coliseum in Knoxville to see Sam Cooke perform. At one point during the show, Cooke said that Little Willie John had been one of the biggest influences on his music, adding "... and Little Willie John is here tonight." The spotlight moved straight to John, who was sitting right next to my mother and my aunt. They both knew who he was, but neither had noticed or recognized him sitting next to them before the spotlight hit him. I think they probably freaked out a little.

Here's Little Willie John singing "Now You Know":

To complete the trifecta, here he is singing "I'm Shakin":
