A typical Twitter exchange

Here are snippets of an ongoing conversation thread that happened on Twitter today; it involves five different people. These updates were interspersed with other "tweets" from me and the 62 people I follow, so the meandering, cloudy nature of Twitter is masked by my selective edits. (A name preceded by an @ symbol indicates that the person sending the message is directing it to that individual.)

First, a discussion of the merits of Mexican Coke (which I love):

bobmissy07: The absolute best words to see on a Coke bottle - Hecho en Mexico!

RussM: @bobmissy07 Where did you find Mexican Coke in Knoxville?

bobmissy07: @russm Kroger on Chapman Hwy... and any of the little mexican markets on Chapman have it too. So much better than ours!

bobmissy07: @russm I would gladly pay more in order to get the cane sugar recipe instead of that gawdawful Highfructosecornsyrup version they give us.

RussM: @bobmissy07 I fully agree.

Then, Barry chimed in:

lasthome: @RussM @bobmissy Soda snobs :) Although I am intrigued to try it...

RussM: @lasthome It tastes like Coke did when I was a kid. Very different from today's.

bobmissy07: @lasthome next summer we're going to Mexico for vacation... I'm not excited abt Tequila. I'm really pumped abt. the Coke though. Sad.

A couple of hours later, a scene from "Back To The Future" played out:

RussM: Good Lord! I just saw a DeLorean! No flux capacitor, though.

suzytrotta: @RussM I saw one yesterday on Gleason - wonder if it was the same one?

RussM: @suzytrotta Probably. This one was on Northshore near Bluegrass.

A couple of hours after that:

dougmccaughan: @RussM All Krogers have it.

bobmissy07: @dougmccaughan Mexican Coke or Deloreans?

I love Twitter.

Yep, that's why I love Twitter too.  I just couldn't resist the Delorean/Mexican Coke question.  Something made me say that.  Not sure what though.  OBTW have you found that perfect brunch yet? You know, the one that replaces Mecca (Italian Mkt & Grill)?  If so let me know. I need a new brunch spot.

Nope, my search continues. Northshore Brasserie has an outstanding (but expensive) brunch, and I've heard the Crown & Goose does too, although I haven't tried that one yet.
