Quote of the day (on Iraq)
The quote of the day comes from today's NYT editorial:
We believe that the fight against Al Qaeda is the central battle for this generation, but Mr. Bush’s claim that Iraq is the main front is wrong. That is Afghanistan, and the United States is in real danger of losing because Mr. Bush’s failed adventure in Iraq is eating up the Pentagon’s resources and attention.
As usual, the Times editorial page gets it right on Bush's growing legacy of failure.
Contrast the NYT's statement of the obvious with the chilling war-mongering in today's Washington Post editorial. The worldview of the neo-cons in charge of the Post's editorial page bears absolutely no resemblance to reality (but that's never stopped them before). Also, be sure to read the user comments on the Post editorial.
Katharine Graham must be spinning in her grave.
