Why you should vote early
Early voting for the February 5 primary starts today in Knox County and runs through January 31. This election covers both the Presidential race and the primary for Knox County offices. We'll probably have a record turnout for this primary, due mostly to the anger Knox Countians feel over local government.
Susan at Kiss My Big Blue Butt shared these words of wisdom on the subject of early voting (her link will eventually be archived here):
A pretty smart guy once told me, "You should vote on the first day they let you. That way, if you get run over by a truck, your vote still counts." I like that kind of optimistic thinking.
Plus, I figure that anything candidates say in the last two weeks of an election is probably desperation lies anyway. It's kinda like the lies you hear in a bar 30 minutes before closing time.
Don't wait until last call; vote early.
