Huckabee shows his theocratic urge
Here's reason #1 Mike Huckabee is absolutely unfit to serve as President of the United States (Raw Story via HuffPo):
"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution," Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. "But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view."
No person so breathtakingly ignorant of this country's founding should ever be considered a serious candidate to run the show. Huckabee has apparently never read either a history book or the Constitution he wants to amend. It's high time we as a society rejected the theocratic urge once and for all, since that's one of the forces our ancestors fought a revolution to escape.
Huckabee and any other counter-revolutionaries who would impose the Baptist version of Sharia law are anathema to anything resembling "freedom." His words are an insult to the very idea.
