Randy Neal goes statewide
Randy Neal, proprietor of KnoxViews and all-around swell guy, has just announced the launch of TennViews; he describes the site's purpose this way:
TennViews is a virtual town hall for talking about politics, culture, and life in the great state of Tennessee, with emphasis on state and national politics and a view towards netroots activism among Tennessee liberals.
This is a fantastic idea; no site is currently fulfilling that role, so TennViews promises to fulfill an unmet need in this state. Given Randy's successful track record with KnoxViews and his already significant status among Tennessee bloggers, the new site should be a huge success.
In an email announcing the launch, Randy said:
The reason we launched the site is because the Tennessee liberal blogosphere is somewhat fragmented. With important elections coming up, we hope to provide a central clearing house and help promote liberal bloggers in Tennessee.
[...]
We hope that Tennessee liberal bloggers, elected and party officials, candidates, and other progressives will contribute (and frequently!) to TennViews.com.
I'm pretty sure that hope will be realized very quickly.
Best of luck with this, Randy.
