More of Bush's corporate welfare

Shockingly, Bush wants to hand out even more corporate welfare:

President Bush said yesterday that he is considering a fresh plan to cut tax rates for U.S. corporations to make them more competitive around the world, an initiative that could further inflame a battle with the Democratic Congress over spending and taxes and help define the remainder of his tenure.

Considering the fact that corporate taxes are responsible for only 15 percent of government revenue, any more corporate welfare would simply put even more of the burden of fixing Bush's fiscal irresponsibility onto the shoulders of individuals.

Of course, Bush realizes this is a non-starter; he's merely handing a sop to those who paid for his two "elections."

We cannot get these goons out of power fast enough.

If Bush really wants U.S. corporations to be more competitive around the world, he'll support a national single-payer health insurance program that separates health care from employment and reduces a big chunk of our overhead. Sort of like they do in every other industrialized nation that we compete with.
