Some newspaper corrections I'd like to see

Based on this, I thought of several newspaper corrections I'd dearly love to see:

From the Knoxville News-Sentinel:

The News Sentinel has run a recent series of stories regarding financial improprieties within the County Mayor's office. This series has left the impression that only the County Mayor's office exhibits such improprieties and that the majority of County Commission is not, in fact, a collection of mouth-breathing, corrupt bozos. We regret the omission.

Our recent series of stories regarding the growing sinkhole on Pellissippi Parkway inadvertently left the impression that the roadway was correctly designed and built to begin with. We apologize for the error.

Several times over the last few months, we have referred to County Mayor Ragsdale, Sheriff Jones, and County Commission as Knox County "Government." We apologize for the injudicious use of the word.

From the Washington Post:

During the run-up to the Iraq war, the Post consistently filled page A1 and its editorial page with pro-Iraq-war spin, copying and pasting Administration press releases into stories we dared call "journalism." Meanwhile, we buried actual news stories by Walter Pincus, which contained proof of the White House's lies, into one tiny little corner of page A36, if we bothered to listen to Walter at all. The Post regrets the error.

The family of Katherine Graham had no hand in hiring the most recent editor of the Post, thereby resulting in Fred Hiatt becoming editor of the paper. We regret this serious lapse in judgment, and, like everyone else, we believe that rumbling sound you hear is Ms. Graham spinning wildly in her grave.

For many years now, we have hosted the nationally syndicated columnist David Broder, thereby lending Mr. Broder an air of authority he is unqualified to hold. We apologize for the mistake.
