A letter to Texas
Dear Texas:
We hear y'all have been having lots of rain lately. Flooding is never a good thing, and it's been tragic to read of lost lives and destroyed livelihoods. We feel for ya.
We here in East Tennessee have a favor to ask: could y'all please send some of that excess rain our way? We're in the midst of a devastating drought, and we could sure use some of that extra precipitation y'all have.
Tennessee doesn't ask much from Texas, usually. We did provide some of your founding fathers and early heroes, so I figure it's a small favor to ask.
Here's what y'all can do: tomorrow at noon, get all 24 million of you to go outside, face East, and blow real hard.
We appreciate it.
Love,
Tennessee
