Protesting workers abused in Arizona
Construction workers in Florence, Arizona were physically assaulted by the company they work for, while protesting the company's labor practices. Reminiscent of 1960s footage of civil rights marchers assaulted with fire hoses, the Pulte Homes construction workers were attacked by a water truck which clearly bore the Pulte company logo on its door.
Here's the video:
At the beginning, a man who appears to be a Pulte Homes employee is seen arguing with one of the protesters. Shortly after that, the water truck rolls into view and unleashes the water spray on the protesters. After moving past them, the driver reverses the truck and douses them again. He then rolls forward and assaults them a third time. Other Pulte Homes employees stand around and laugh as the assaults continue.
According to this AFL-CIO blog post about the incident, there were a total of 16 assaults on the protesters that day.
Meanwhile, the wingnuts insist that the labor unions are the bad guys.
