Bush's Imus moment
Oh dear God, no ... please tell me Bush did not just say this to a group of black musicians playing on the White House South Lawn:
Proud you’re here. Thanks for coming. You all enjoy yourself. Make sure you pick up all the trash after it’s over.
Yep. The official transcript verifies it -- Bush has outdone Imus.
UPDATE: After watching the video, it looks like Bush had turned away from the band member when he made the "trash" remark. That particular statement seems to have been directed at the audience, not the band. Of course, the audience was comprised of members of Congress, so it's still insulting, just not as breathtakingly racist.
