Fred Thompson, eloquence personified

"Meet The Press" aired a brief interview with former GOP senator and "Law & Order" star Fred Thompson Sunday on his possible '08 run. Host Tim Russert added after the interview that Thompson was asked what he would do as president, and Thompson replied, "Lots of things." Russert said that Thompson was asked whether he was prepared to elaborate on any of those things, and Thompson replied, "No."
Man, what a visionary.

There are many who are comparing Fred Thompson to Ronald Reagan, particularly those on the right. I think some of those comparisons are legitimate, not the least of which is the fact that both men qualify as great big assholes.
