2007 Rossini Festival (with photos!)
This morning's torrential downpour threatened to scrap this year's Rossini Festival. Last year's crowd numbered around 65,000 or so, and this year's would have been bigger had it not been for uncooperative weather.
By 1:30 or so, the rain had tapered to a sprinkle, so I decided to brave the elements and trek downtown. Because of the weather, I was lucky enough to find a parking spot in the Market Square garage. Yay!
The crowd was larger than I expected; it looks like the festival was a hit after all. Selected photos are below, and the rest of them can be found here.
