The devil made 'em do it
A Utah Republican has introduced a resolution in his county asserting that illegal immigration is the work of Satan.
No, really. I'm not making this up.
Here's what he says:
"In order for Satan to establish his 'New World Order' and destroy the freedom of all people as predicted in the scriptures, he must first destroy the U.S.," Larsen’s resolution states. "[It is] insidious for its stealth and innocuousness."
At least the Utah state Senate majority leader has some sense:
"The majority of Republicans believe that illegal immigration is probably the most critical issue facing Utah today," said Bramble ... "I don't think there is going to be a great deal of people attributing the problem to Satan."
There will probably be more than Bramble anticipates.
